we first logged on to this forum three months ago when we talked to the dealer about a 2008 3465SA. Since then, we built an RV barn to house our new arrival. Today, we went back to the dealer to finalize the deal and order the unit figuring that we would have 3 to 4 months to get everything ready. Sitting on his lot was a 2009 3665RE. We fell in love with it and will be picking it up in a week. We are both psyched. We have a bit of time until we'll be able to take any long trips as we are both still working but we are already planning a short shakedown cruise. We'll post a photo when we bring her home.

Congratulations are definitely in order. Enjoy the spanking new rig. And definitely post some pictures, tell about your adventures, and consider joining us at one of the rallies. (Hint: There will be one close to you August 6-9 of 2009). Still in the planning stages but it is pretty close to being finalized for the Wytheville, Va. area.

Congratulations on your new pull toy. Owning that new rig is very exciting. Enjoy yourself and your travels.

i know just how you feel. ours is about a month old and we're still giddy. we did get the 3465sa.
congrats on your new unit.

Welcome to the forum and this wonderful lifestyle. As a non-camper for my adult life, my wife and I decided to buy our 3400 before we even had a truck to pull it with. Now, we are in Branson, MO as fulltimers.

Yay! Another person with a 3665RE! Me too. :) Isn't it great?! I hope you love yours as much as I love mine!

Congratulations on the new purchase. I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of it. I would also like to give a great big “ I 2nd that” to what Bingo said about the rally. They are very enjoyable and I’m sure that is going to be a good one!

Time is running short until we pick up our new second home next Monday. I've been busy this week cleaning out the barn to house our Monty while Vickie has been dealing with insuring it and the new barn. I was planning on having a bit more time to do all that. Tomorrow the hitch will be installed in the truck. I already have a gooseneck in it so the wiring harness and brake controller are in place. We've been making all sorts of lists. Things we need to buy right away, things we'll need later, thinge we can take from the house, etc. We're like a couple of kids at Christmas which isn't so far fetched as this is going to be our present to each other (probably both birthdays too). More when we bring her home.

WOW what a deal!! That 3665RE is my favorite floor plan out there, Mary and I are jealous but really happy for you the more folks that buy that model maybe they will have one around when we decide to move up a notch. Happy RVing with you new unit. Jon
