Hello from Texas! My wife and I just purchased our first Keystone Montana. We had to make this decision because, unfortunately my wife was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer last month and has begun chemo treatments. We are in the process of selling our house and have a tentative close date of November 7 which means a drastic downsizing and simplifying our life.

Now don't get me wrong, I am absolutely in love with this fifth wheel as we elected for a 2025 Montana 3915 TB and I am looking forward to the simpler lifestyle, and my wife can focus on beating this illness.

I am glad to be here and look forward to talking with other Montana owners.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on getting your new Montana. That's a nice looking one for sure!

Hopefully, before you take off full time, you'll be able to use your new Montana for awhile so you can flush out the defects and make personal changes that will suit your specific lifestyle. These changes and fixes usually take a year before things settle down. Making changes and adjustments, and fixing manufacturing problems is a lot easier with the camper sitting in the drive way, instead of the campground. So, hopefully, you have opportunity to get familiar with it (and the RV lifestyle, and some ins-and-outs of camping itself under all types of conditions).

There are lots and lots of YouTube videos and web sites with a lot of information and helpful tips for folks just starting out full timing and giving up their stick-n-brick house. I strongly advise spending time researching these and especially focus on the negative aspects of full timing. For some, the negatives are what is the hardest to overcome, for others, those same negatives are actually the positives. But there are challenges and anything you can do now to prepare for those challenges is well worth the effort. So, go camping right now! Don't delay. Enjoy your new camper and begin the customization to make it uniquely your own. Good times are ahead for sure!

Happy camping!

Welcome to the forum! This forum can help you with any “challenge” that might come up with your new Montana. No question is too small or too complicated. You will get answers and help. Be sure to include your year and model number with each post to get the best targeted answers.

Good luck on your new lifestyle, many prayers for your wife, she is what counts above everything else.

Praying for your wife and you.
My wife had breast cancer 12 years ago at age 43. Even thou hers was at stage 0, it was and still is scary.
Nice camper too.

Will pray for you and your wife. I’ve had breast cancer twice and I’m still going strong at 74. I pray your wife will say that someday too. Enjoy your camper!

Welcome to the group. We will be praying for your wife. The biggest challenge you will have is the downsizing process. We did that 3 times before we got it down to where we needed! Remember this is a journey not a trip! Happy trails!

We have been full time for 12 years. Finally managed to consolidate a 3000 square foot home into a 30' cargo trailer. Someone decided they needed our stuff more than we needed to hang onto it. In the end we realized our stuff wasn't that important. Will be praying for your wife's full recovery. Hope to see you at our fall MOC rally in Elkhart INDIANA next September. You can tell us all your stories.

Hey! We just bought a 3915TB as well. We are really enjoying. Only had it about 4 weeks now and have already had it out twice. Once for an entire week.

I've already done several mods to ours. See some of my posts here. There is more that I haven't documented yet but I think you would like.

I have a post coming up soon about the TPMS I added and all the cameras. I have a RAM truck as well so I bet the monitor mount setup I did would work great for yours too if you are looking to add rear view cameras.

Also....I very curious. We were one of the first 2025 year model orders sent into Keystone. We had requested they add a LP quick connect near the front door so that I could use an outside grill. My dealer ordered 3 of the 3915's all at the same time but only requested the mod on ours. All 3 of them showed up with the mod. I've been wondering if Keystone added that as standard now.

Never made since to me why they wouldn't have that already there since they don't have an outdoor kitchen built in.

Probably saves a bit on cost. I installed a quick connection at the end of the hard gas line along the frame near the LH propane tank. Purchased an extension hose for the grill. We used it twice. Then sold the big grill for an electric George Foreman grill that plugs in next to the basement door. The electric grill is smaller, light weight, and easier to clean. If I'm boondocking, I'll run the genny. But, honestly, I like my steaks done over an open fire.
