Hi, We're Larry and Philis from Santa Maria, CA. We have had our 2021 MHC 330RL since January 2021 when we purchased it in Muskegon, MI. Prior to this RV, we had a 24' Terry travel trailer for almost 30 years. I just found this forum, otherwise we would have joined much earlier. Like many other owners, we dealt with some pretty serious issues getting our new trailer fixed. It took a lot of patience and almost three years, but for the last year, we have had a trailer that functions perfectly. Our travel style, for lack of a better word, is to take a number of 1-2 week trips during the year and then a big trip, usually in the summer. We usually take 8-12 weeks each summer for travel. We've got over 34,000 miles on the trailer now. This year our big trip will focus on fall colors in New England. We'll be on the road for 14 weeks. We love to travel and the trailer feels like a second home. I'm semi-retired and can easily work on the road. We have friends all over the country, so we try to visit everyone when we're in their area. We pull the trailer with a 2021 Silverado 2500HD diesel. We're glad to be part of this forum!

A little "late" is better than never! It's good you discovered this forum site. You sound like you have been through some deep-waters with your Montana and years of prior camping experience already makes you a seasoned expert and sure hope you share your experiences, knowledge, and work-around / hacks that make RVing what it is.

Welcome to the forums and it's good to know you've worked out all those initial problems with your Montana when it was still new.

We had mega problems with our High Country the first year of new ownership. It was awful. I almost was desperate enough to get rid of it. But, by the end of the first year, those issues got worked out. The second year, we made it the entire year with not a single fix, repair, or problem. The third year we had minor things happen. By the fourth year, we now just expect wear and tear to do it charm on the camper. Fifth and sixth year got a little expensive with repairs, but right now, everything is good again. But, since the camper is completely paid for, I'm keeping it till I die now. I've put too much work and money into the thing to keep it safe and usable and comfortable.

Enjoy your travels and it's great to know you are able to travel across the entire country, have friends along the way, and have opportunity to make new friends, and continue to have new adventures!

Again, welcome!

Hi, We're Larry and Philis from Santa Maria, CA.
Mmmm. Home of the tri-tip. I had never had tri-tip before when I was a young student at Cal Poly. I had made good friends with the custodian in my dorm (nobody else would give the guy the time of day) and he invited me down to his place for barbecue. As a starving student, I never said no to an offer of a meal, and double-never said no to barbecue. I drove down to his place in Santa Maria and he introduced me to my new favorite cut.

I've had a lot of amazing milestones in my live, and it's interesting to specifically remember "the day I first had tri-tip". It's too bad the rest of the county's butchers haven't learned the art of that delicious cut yet.

Welcome to the forum. I hope you get as much out of it as we have.

Welcome to the MOC. As dedmiston said, we too are big fans of Tri Tip. We stop in Santa Maria at least twice a year to see old friends and enjoy Tri Tip. It seems that it is harder and harder to find good Tri Tip at a reasonable price there. The good news is Tri Tip is readable accessible here and I have been cooking it for over 40 years. But as the only red meat eater in the household, one Tri Tip last a long time.

You might want to update your Profile as your Location appears as Detroit, MI not Santa Maria, CA

Welcome to the MOC, Looks like your enjoying that rig! I'm close to being able to do that kind of travel...Can't wait. best wishes for safe travels.
