Hey folks,

We are new to this site. Just go a new Montana, and think we are going to like it. Got away from the motorhome (Maybe I am gonna miss it)!

Trying to decide if I should put PVC pipe under coach to hold sewer pipes, or just leave in the sewer compartment.

Looking for advice.

Welcome John & Janice to the MOC family.

You made a good choice in getting a Montana and I am sure you won't only like it, you'll love it.

As far as the sewer pipe, I have 2 and find them more convenient. Use the sewer hose compartment to store the various fittings I carry.

Where and how did you mount them? Also, there are two dumps. One gray and black water, and one kitchen. The Gray and Black water dump is right under the slide. Can I shorten it up, and make it come out before the slide?

Unless they changed something, you only have one dump. There are 3 dump valves, gray, galley & black, but only one dump outlet where you connect the sewer hose. Not sure about shortening it up but if there is room I don't see why not.

On the following picture you can see where one PVC pipe is located and the second is directly behind it.

My camper is a 3650 RK. Just got it, and the Galley dump is in fact up front. They did not even have a dump handle on it, and it took them about 45 minutes to find where it should be.

I thought it kinda sucked to have two dumps but can't have everything.

That's strange, that's one of the things I really like about our Monty versus our old 5ver, one dump not two.

How do you couple your two hoses together? I just had to buy another one in SD because the dump was too far away and it's kind of combersome to have them coupled together all the time but the hoses are so difficult to put the connections on that I don't want to take them apart. Is there some "quick disconnect" system I'm not aware of? Don't hold out on me buddy!

We have two of the larger PVC tubes mounted right behind the front legs of the Montana. We keep our fishing poles in one and sewer hoses, including the connectors, in the second one. They are available at plumbing supply businesses. Glen attached them with plumbers tape (metal banding). The larger ones are nice and hold the connectors nicely.

Camping World sells such a system. It is all red and the hose is heavy grade. It comes in 20' (which is 2 10') or 10. We bought 2 20' so we would have enough for anything. It is really easy to use and store. They are called EZ Coupler Bayonet Sewer Kits. It is on the last page if you do a search on CW's web site for sewer hose. We are really pleased with ours. And you do not need any clamps, etc.

My brother just bought a 3650RK also and he has the two dump pipes the same as you. I was looking at his set up and was telling him I would shorten up the front dump pipe so I would not have to crawl under the slide out to get to the connection. The back one is another issue that he will have to deal with when he wants to dump. I wonder if they plan to provide a Y branch to connect the two together so they can be dumped through the same flex pipe.
