Greetings,

Previously owned a High Country and did a couple of tours of the western US. Wife and I moved away to Switzerland and sold our first Montana. Now back in the US, and just purchased a Bison Black 3100 RL - excited for new adventures.

We spent 9 years in Germany in one of my previous lives.
We are down in Schertz. Love the new wider body interior, Curt TCS and Curt pin box on the 2026 models. We just had the TCS installed on our 2022 along with Deemax Disc Brakes.
If your schedule allows, consider attending the Montana Owners Club North American Fall Rally in September in Indiana. You can find the details here:

Sweet! That is very nice and I can understand for the excitement, I would to, and congratulations on your 5th wheel.

I had a Ram 3500 SRW truck on order before we bought the 3100 RL. After a significant amount of research, I convinced myself that the pin weight of the 3100 RL when loaded would push the limits of the Ram's payload. For piece of mind, I canceled my truck order and bought a Ram 3500 mega cab dually (Cummins) just for the extra headroom in payload. I also switched out the Curtis Helix 5th wheel pin box on the Montana for a Curtis Helix Gooseneck unit, and am using the Curtis 4" offset ball in the bed for cab to trailer clearance (my truck is a 6.4 bed).

Maiden voyage is this weekend, but I think this setup will do what I need it to.
