The MOC Ladies Driving School for 2025 is now open for sign ups!

Ladies it's time to sign up for the Ladies Driving School. This will be a two part event. One part for the verbal portion of the class and one part for the hands on driving experience. These will probably be on different days depending on the schedule.

The Driving school is sponsored by Keystone and put on for the ladies of the group. This class is a must for those who need to learn to handle the rig in a safe manner even for just a short trip to a safe haven. This class is to give you a chance to get your feet wet and learn. It will be your responsibility to continue to practice on your own.

There is no fee for this class and pre registration is required.

The class is open to first time sign up Ladies first and then those that would like to take it a second time if there is any openings left after all the first timers have signed up. Any Ladies are welcome to come to the verbal portion of the class without signing up however those who will be taking the driving class do have to sign up and pre-register.

Sorry, no men are allowed at either the verbal or driving portions of this class. This includes volunteers.

Registration will close on August 30th, 2025.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Schautzie via Private Message through the forum.

DW drives very well. In fact she drives about 50% of the time. Her short suit is backing up. Will this year’s class include training for backing up?

Yes they go over backing up and give them the basic principles during the driving portion. Then they can practice with you on trips. I have problems backing in also, I am a work in progress!

Hey men have you ever thought about what would happen if you the male side of the camping couple should have a health problem and not be able to drive the truck and tow the Montana? Well this class is just the solution to this possible problem. That lady that is sitting next to you going down the highways and biways of this nation and our neighboring countries is stranded if you have a health problem while on the road and so are you! Also you have someone that can get the rig at least to a campground or some place safe if you are taken to the hospital or an urgent care for medical treatment. This class gives the lady in your life the knowledge to take over that unit and get you to safety if out in the boonies or along the highway somewhere. It give them the chance to learn how to hook up, back up, tow the unit and learn the basics of towing a Montana. Ya, you say that will never happen to me but what if it does? Sign that lady up for this class so she has as least some knowledge on what to do and when to do it when needed.

So I will be the first to admit that I am a horrible passenger, I just like to drive, period. But on long drive days Anna gives me some relief and has the confidence to do it. She has actually taken the class twice and has no problem or hesitation getting behind the wheel pulling our rig. It's kind of like teaching your wife who has never been near a gun to shoot, not a great idea. Leave it to the professionals in a non intimidating environment. Highly recommend this class even if you have driven before and I'm sure Anna would say the same. Consequently, she's become a heck of a shot...we love our shooting dates.

This is our first year attending. We have a '21 GMC Denali 3500 with a gooseneck. I sure would be grateful for learning better how to connect. We can offer our truck if you need. (Ihave registered for the class) Thanks!

Also, when is this 2 part class?

Joanna and Mike, The units being used for the Ladies Driving School are new units coming from Keystone Montana and have the regular hitches on them that come from the factory. They will not have any gooseneck hitches on them so I'm sure I can thank you for the offer from the Driving School instructors, Asst. WM in charge of this event, Coordinator and the ladies helping the coordinator and instructors for your offer of truck use. Check with some of the attendees that have gooseneck hitches and see if they can give you advise on this subject.
