Rally Events 2025

Some of you have asked “what goes on at rally"? While we don't have the schedule quite ready yet, we can share some information. Here is a look at some of the things you can look forward to:

Seminars:
We have scheduled seminars on Solar, Slides, Tires, Axles, Suspension, RV Weight, Medical Transport, Tips and Tricks and Tips and Tricks for Ladies. New this year is that a number of the seminars are at Keystone using their demonstration materials.

Meals:
We have lots of great food at the MOC rallies. This year we will have a revamped Amish Dinner, an Ice Cream Social, a Cookout, Taco Bar and Barbeque. We also have a variety of Food Trucks, including a new one. Also, a Ladies Luncheon and Men’s Fellowship Breakfast.

Roundtables:
There will be discussions and sharing with a Veteran’s Roundtable, Alaska Roundtable, Fulltime/Workcamping Roundtable, Trip Planning and two new sessions: Technology Roundtable for solar, In-Command, StarLink and automation and Traveling with Weapons.

Ladies Events:
There are three crafts scheduled this year. A colored pencil class, a wooden basket class and a lanyard class. Also, the always popular Ladies Driving School (no men allowed near this). This year Keystone is trying to have lady instructors.

Evening Events:
This year, we have a renewed focus on the campfire. Cornhole, music, food and other things will take place at the evening campfire. Bring a couple hundred of your closest friends.

Vendors:
Everything from t-shirts to solar equipment will be available during the rally.

Ham Radio:
This started two years ago. FREE Ham Radio testing will be available again this year. Already have a license and want to upgrade – Free. We will also have a demonstration near the campfire one evening. We are also going to enlist our MOC licensed operators this year for emergency communication. Many of us camp and travel where there is no cell service. A recent story documented how someone was rescued in Death Valley thanks to a radio.

And so much more:
The Saturday Night Social, White Elephant Gift Exchange, Silent Auction and lots of other things. Plus, you have the opportunity to meet your new best friends. See you in September. Keep your eye on the MOC for signups.

When do the signups usually occur? I’ll be traveling this summer and I don’t want to miss them! Excited to be attending this year as a first timer!

Bob and Lisa -
I would recommend checking one a week, especially if interested in the basket class or the driving class. The Amish Dinner and a few others are just for headcount. We will start posting sometime in June.

Yes and looking forward to it. Also I need 2 large T shirts in the register I put 1 large and 1 medium I was wrong on my wife’s size. Thanks

Will you be putting out a list of vendors or RV service provider at the Rally?
Also, can my wife use her mobility scooter (She has her HC Pass)?

Yes your wife can use her mobility scooter, all facilities are ADA compliant. You might also want to request a handicap site for your Montana. The list of vendors and service providers will be available at a later date as it is far from complete.

I'm intrigued with the basket class. Can you tell us a little more about that?

How does one request a handicap site?

We’d be interested in how to get started with a ham radio. Neither of us have a license and want to know what it’s all about.

Wayne and Becky, search YouTube for Ham Tech License. Watch a few videos. If it looks like something you would like to pursue, I recommend Amazon for the ARRL Technician Book or the Gordon West book. There are 35 questions on the test, you need 26 correct. The books will have all 400 questions and the correct answer. As was recommended to me, if possible, study for the Tech and General test. Access to frequencies is based on you certification level. The General grants “almost” full access to the frequencies available to Ham operators. The testing is free. The FCC charges $35 for a 10 year license (actually one of the test questions). Radios run from $35 on up. The deeper down the rabbit hole you go, the more it costs. At the recent Western rally, about 25% of the members had their license.

How do you sign up for a craft? I found the link to sign up for the driving class and I should now be on the list. Thank you :)

Will there be a E-bike vendor there?

Will there be a E-bike vendor there?
Last year Lincoln Cycle was there with a few different models. We ended up running up to their store about 10 minutes away and bought 2 new bikes. They delivered them with a new rack for our hitch and hauled off our old bikes and hitch which we just offered up for donation to them.
