For those on here for awhile We have a 2015 Montana 3610 Rl Legacy.. Since new we have had the Large Slide out give us constant problems. We have had Gear Paks replaced. metal added to the bottom of the slide to stiffen it etc.. Our of Pocket repairs have cost us nearly 10k.. On our last trip we left Susanville and while exiting the parking lot the rv took a great lean to the right. A glass in the cabinet fell out of the cabinet and onto the floor and it broke... At home I Went to put the Slide Out and heard crunching ripping and tearing. The Slide Grabbed the Shards of Glass and ripped the floor and also gouged the floor...The Slide was stuck open and would not go back in.. So we made an appointment at a shop about 50 miles away to get an estimate. I usually pay every out of pocket.. When I went back to see the cost they said it was around 13000 to repair.. I thought no, Ill take it somewhere else.. Well they charged me nearly 300.00 for the estimate.. So I just said, Ill turn it into my insurance..It took the Insurance Company Nearly a month to pay the claim.. They had to remove the Slide,... They replaced the Floor, not patch it with pergo.. Then they replaced the rollers under the slide, the rubber gaskets around the slide, put brackets on the slide to prevent the rail from riding over the gears. Then they called and said there was more damage.. this was another 4400... They replaced the slide out Botton with new marine grade wood and new Darco.. This repair came to over 17400!! I had them replace the skylight in the shower for 500 and repair the kitchen light above the Island for another 500 plush shop and spa fees for / about 1252 total... All In all Nearly 20k,,,,, The Slide so far is working Great.. May this is what was needed.. A total rebuild... Hope it's fixed for good this time...
