Mirror Mirror on the Wall be it for some not all?

When I was 17 years old the Army trained me to drive trucks. What always stuck with me was the driver pre-trip inspection/maintenance procedures. I could service my rig, knew almost everything about it, and almost every nut and bolt got checked daily. As a military driver you found the problems before they left you stranded on the "road with the load". That was important hauling equipment around Germany and really important hauling a full load of explosives in a flat bed in Nam! My point is, when we purchased our Monte I was comfortable hooking it up, dropping it, backing, and pulling it, but I needed experts to give me information on my maintaining everything. This forum has tons of folks that have been pulling RV's all around the country for years. These are the experts that I can learn from. I may not agree with every opinion or post, but I have learned a ton about my Monte and how to safely maintain it through this forum. Because of the forum I am confident that our upcoming extended travels will be safer and less expensive.

Best thing about the forum is that opinion and information is available. What's true for one may not fit another, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything to learn from it.

Tks dieselguy for the comments. I have found that many on here have opinions that are just posts and others are insightful. Yours was helpful even if you are from Kansas. lol. Anything longer than a sentence or two usually loses the reader. Many of us are just getting old and focus is lost...at least by me. Tks.

i too agree with all that you said with one caveat on this quote:

"it really isn’t an issue if you have ST or LT tires on your unit (as long as they’re not Marathons) …"

IT IS AN ISSUE if you have ST tires and all of the specifications on the sidewall are not followed, no matter the brand,... at the risk of the eruption of another volcanic thread on tires; thats all Im gonna say about that...

Opinons on this forum? :) I would prefer they be called Personal Ideas. Everyone's situation is different. As mentioned, these should not scare anyone away from participating. There are some specific guidelines, though... Take everything in, then make your own decision.
