We just had our first close encounter with a marebomb too last week. A football shaped extrusion of rubber pushed out the inside sidewall. Luckily, it didn't blow out and cause damage. We kept being told by passers by that there was a problem with the tire. I got out and looked several times and checked the pressure and all was good. we never realized the damage was there cause it was on the inside and barely visable and drove about 45 minutes more in that condition. Lesson learned---check both sides of the tire!!

Glad it worked out for you. If it's the sidewalls, they don't always cooperate and make it easy to find the disaster about to happen.

We had the same problem last month,my wife was following in the car and pulled me over. could not find any
st tires that did't come from China. Went with Firestone Transforce LT. Hope I don't regret it

i have transforce tires on my 2008 f 250 came with the truck when i got it so far no problems with the tire

Fingers (still) crossed here with my Marathons. I have the Firestone Transforce H/T on my truck. They seem like a decent tire, no problems. I'll be switching to LT's on the camper as soon as reasonably possible. Glad nothing catastrophic happened to you.
