After seeing Ozz's post on grilling bacon, got me thinking I should pass this on. About two years ago I was looking for a better way to cook bacon. Of course we pan fried it just the way we liked it and then drained it on paper towels. Then we started microwaving it on a plate lined with paper towels and we probably used a half a roll of towels to cook a pound of bacon. Then while walking through Wal-mart one day I saw a product called "Makin Bacon".
You hang about 1/2 pound of bacon on the rack, cover with one large paper towel and microwave. Once you get the time down pat, the bacon cooks perfectly. Grease drains into the drip pan and is easily emptied by a handle that somehow stays cool. We bought one for the house and had to get another for the Monty. About 10 bucks at Wallys. We love it and will never go back to the old way of cooking bacon. BTW, it was invented by an 8 year old girl and she and her dad built the first one.
