Noticed something interesting on the Keystone RV site. Montana and Montana high country have a new rear living model but everything else is “stock only”. 🤔

Montana is undergoing major changes, high country may be too, I’m not sure.
For starters, they are going wide body with an all new frame. If you look at the unloaded and loaded weights of the new 3100 at only 37 feet+/-, you see they are beefing up.
They are making changes in the amenities too but I’m not sure what and how much. I saw better forgiving pinboxes, better storage ideas, better looking paint, better use of space in the bedroom, finally got the hamper out of the closet, and Nautilus wet bay. They ditched the Horse and buggy suspension and went with the new Lippert setup, I don’t know much about it. But they are not using the MORryde step and going to electric dump valves and on demand water heater, which these last 3 are meh in my opinion, but everyone else in the luxury 5er business is too. This is just what I know from what I heard and saw at the Tampa show while touring the new 3100, which is a really nice unit. It will replace the 3121 that we had. Big improvement and much more residential feel.
Suffice it to say that the changes will require new model numbers if nothing else, so that’s why everything is stock only.
They are a little late to the party, at least for me, I wish I had a crystal ball to see what was coming. I would have waited. But as most of you know, I suffered frame flex- twice. We were ready for an over 40’ floor plan but didn’t want anymore stress.
Based on what I saw in the 3100, Get ready to be impressed, (imo)

Interesting. Thanks. We looked at the Montana’s before we settled on an Alpine. Thought the Alpine was a bit more “finished”, with a fuller complement of accessories. It’ll be interesting to see how things unfold.

I was curious about the Stock only stuff so looked at the website. Went in and looked at some pics of the interior for the Montanas. Not sure what to think! Looked like windows from ceiling to around 3 feet end to end. Just framing around every 4-6 feet taking about 4-6 inches, but all else was glass. I didn't look closely enough to see what they have for shades/curtains.

Yes, big windows, lots of natural light, it’s what people want. Some of them don’t open though. I can’t remember what the blinds were, I don’t remember seeing any.

If they are doing upgrades, I wish they would make a Goosebox an option.
