1. Does anyone have a picture of the level sensing device Lippert uses in their hydraulic leveling systems?
2. Where do they usually install those devices.
3. What is the electronic theory behind the design of that level sensor.

When my system tells me my rig is level, it's really not so I will need to recalibrate, but I saw on another forum where that sensor failed.

The main leveling controller with sensors is usually in the front compartment mounted on the ceiling. The rear sensor is secured to the frame a few feet rear of the rear most axle. It is between the underbelly and the rvs floor.

If the remote rear sensor had failed you would have an error on the level up panel and Auto Level would have failed and stopped

First pic shows remote rear sensor

Second pic shows front fwd controller - found inside the front storage compartment up high on the ceiling

Third pic shows error messages . .. you would have seen EXTERNAL SENSOR ERROR had the remote rear sensor failed

Manually level the fifth wheel using a level inside for front to back and side to side then perform a zero reset on the control panel..

A video I made a while back with some overview info of the Lippert 6 point hydraulic system and I perform a manual level and zero point reset calibration toward the end of the video

This establishes a fresh new auto level for the system to use

I had the External Sensor error and voltmeter showed no voltage on one of the pins at the rear sensor. In the process of replacing the cable I discovered that mice had partially eaten thru the cable just behind the back wall panel. I was able to splice the cable and avoid having to pull a new one thru the underbelly
