While the camper is laid up I want to fix the landing gear/auto level (electric).
Here's what's happening. The auto level will only work one time. Example: If I set all of the legs to the reset position (lowered 6") then retract them the system will reset. I can lower the front legs, disconnect, hit auto level and it works. When I want to hook up I hit the reconnect button, the front of the camper will return to the position from before disconnecting. I'll hook up,hit auto retract and away I go. The next time I want to disconnect the system will give error signals on one of the legs, LF,RF,RR,LR, No telling which leg it will be. I then have to manually lower the leg with the error and level manually. When want to hook up i have to go thru the whole process again. It's driving me mad!

electric leveling.

Larry - I have not used the “snazzy” features of the Level-up system, besides using auto-level after I get disconnected...I'm more of a manual guy for retracting the legs. Also - I manually adjust the tongue height for hitching. My "manual" methods are used because I have never learned the snazzy stuff. I have not experienced any error messages. Someone here will be able to address your questions.

I had a similar problem .... twice. Turned out to be a broken gear in the front landing jacks. The first happened on the passenger side a few years ago. It happened again on the driver's side about a year ago. The second time, I could not figure it out. I contacted a mobile tech who took almost 4 hours diagnosing the problem and figured it was a broken leg. Well, $600 for labor and his fees, and another $200 for the leg, we were back in business. Mine is the Lippert 6 point electric system.

Was the broken gear visible? Where on the leg was the broken gear? I have the electric 6 point system as well. And want to be able to identify a problem if it happens to me.

The broken gear puzzles me. Did the leg still move up and down? Make noise? I am considering removing the legs and checking them out. Disassemble, lube and and see what's what. Has anyone ever taken one apart?

Id start by calling Lippert. I suspect a flat spot in the worm drive on one of the landing legs which will cause frame twist. **** it could be a bad connection or low voltage. Call Lippert.
