Kitchen Slides won't move

I just bought a 2016 Montana 3791RD that was a repo. I have managed to figure out that the 2 kitchen slide are hydraulic. The auto leveling system seems to work from the outside control box however the 2 slides "appearing to work off of one switch" won't budge and are currently stuck in out position. I have changed the batteries to insure good power. The hydraulic tank appears to be low on fluid as it is approx. half full with a fill line closer to the top. My questions are with the slides in the out position and the front leveling jacks extended to clear my lifted trucks tailgate, what should the proper level be? Is there a way to manually overide these slides? Thanks in advance for any help

Fluid level about half way seems right with your slides out and jacks down. When you bring them in, fluid will go up, so don't add any fluid until you get them in.
Have you checked the bypass valves for the slides? They should be in the door where the jack controls are. They look like a turn dial and should allow you to isolate one slide or the other. Mine are labelled DS and ODS for "Door Side" and "Off Door Side".

As RMcNeal wrote, the valves in the Level Up door are the most likely cause. The hydraulic system works as the leveling system is operable, Both slides and levelers use the same hydraulics. The only other option that comes to mind is a non-functional Hydac valve but that is pretty rare.

Really? I always thought it was "Driver Side" and "Opposite Driver Side". Live & learn.

Why couldn't they use "Driver Side" and "Curb Side"?

Thanks for straightening me out. :)

The reason behind the backwards RV definition of DS and ODS is documented in the Keystone wiring diagrams.

I thought I would share the wiring diagram to my unit. Hope this helps!

Lol! so true. Our son installed batteries/solar system and couldn't stand the mess. So he took it apart and labeled everything!

That's ambitious. I have, so far, resisted the urge to do that myself. But I know my OCD won't allow me to ignore it forever.
