My question is: has anyone figured out how to use this? Tried several things and so far does not work.

Can you be more specific? The Keystone site have support video.

The KeyTv system is a central hub that uses the Winegard 360 antenna to distribute the signal to all of the TV connections. It also has a connection for a satellite dish mounted to the roof and connected to the 360 as well as a park cable TV input.
The main issues people have are loose connections. If you're having issues with signal, remove all of the TV plates and make sure the connections are tight. Also remove the KeyTv hub and check the connections there as well. In some cases there may be a faulty cable damaged during construction. There is a blue light on the hub indicating 12 volt power is present. If the light isn't on the fuse might be blown. The fuse holder is behind the hub.

If you are trying to connect a Dish antenna they are a challenge to get to work through Key. You are better off running a direct line to your receiver.

My Dish works through the KeyTv port. Guess I'm the lucky one.

FL is quite the service call lol. The Winegard tailgater can connect with both dish and DTV. Mine is a King, dish only. Both are auto sat connecting. If you're traveling a lot I recommend a tripod mount. If you're full time you can roof mount it and connect it to the 360.

I think some of the receivers for DISH have a limit of 25 foot cable, but sometimes works up to 50. So if you have a short (25) cable and connect to the rig, you might have around 50 feet. I don't know how much the KEYTV reduces the signal but all this might explain why some people have success and others don't. I calculated and my (pre-keytv) cable runs up into the ceiling I think and to the back of the rig. Then it comes forward about 5 more feet and up into the wall. So I think the total length is over 30 feet added to 25 outside is greater than 50 feet. I run 50 feet directly to the receiver and have success.

King is 50' I have two 50' cable connected to the wet bay inputs making the run 70' ish. Still works. They also have a power injector that can be used.

I had to put the Wally in the bay and run the Coax through the water hose outlet. I then put HDMI transmitter in the bay hooked to the Wally and an HDMI Receiver behind the TV. The Key TV System is only good for local channels.

I connect the main sat output to the keyTv sat input in the wet bay. I ran a new line to the basement TV with a coax plate in the wet bay and connect the second sat output to it. Works great.

Go to the Wineguard web site and buy this SATELLITE POWER INSERTER AND CABLE EXTENDER. I used it for six months with no problems, at times I had a signal strength up to 85. Had to reboot the Wally twice. Dish makes a power inserted for less money, but I don’t know how well it works. Good luck!

I have roughly 80' of coax with no power inserter and have no problems.
