I think some of the receivers for DISH have a limit of 25 foot cable, but sometimes works up to 50. So if you have a short (25) cable and connect to the rig, you might have around 50 feet. I don't know how much the KEYTV reduces the signal but all this might explain why some people have success and others don't. I calculated and my (pre-keytv) cable runs up into the ceiling I think and to the back of the rig. Then it comes forward about 5 more feet and up into the wall. So I think the total length is over 30 feet added to 25 outside is greater than 50 feet. I run 50 feet directly to the receiver and have success.
