Just Two of Us

Our little buddy Jake crossed over the rainbow bridge yesterday. He was a great little dog who lived to please. We will miss him terribly and traveling won't be the same.

I certainly know what you are going through. we lost our baby lacey 16 years 2 months old on march 25 this year. it is very hard for sure. my thoughts and prayers are with you. they are great companions for sure.

If you're on the road and need a (dog) fix, find the nearest animal shelter. They're always looking for people to come in and walk/socialize animals. We've done that for several years now. Brought home 2 of them, lol. Kind of like being a grandparent, at the end of the days the kids go home, or at the end of the day you go home (and the animals stay).

I always tell people, this world would be a much better place, if we all loved one another like our dogs love us! It hurts terribly we they leave. I'm sorry for your loss.

We love mini schnauzer 's. We lost our little Ginger a week b4 we left Michigan for Arizona. 1st time we traveled in retirement without her. Feel bad for you . Tried to put up a picture but couldn't figure it out

Thanks for all the kind replies and support. Only people who have or have had dogs, knows what it's like to lose one. We will most likely take some of the advice offered and maybe walk shelter dogs in the future but right now, it's too soon for us to want to do that. Maybe another dog in the future, but not sure about that either.
