UPDATE- June 15th -- If you are planning to go to the Melodrama we must know so we can book tickets to this event because it does sell out so we want everyone to get a chance to go. We must know by July 6th. Post here on this thread if you would like tickets.
Over the past few years the Central Plains Regional Rally has had a special trip to Mahoney State Park to enjoy the melodrama put on by some of the actors and actresses from in the area. This year is no different.
This year's Melodrama will be held Sunday, July 14th, at 3 PM. We will be making the trip to Mahoney that afternoon but first making a stop at Baker's Chocolates, a favorite stop for the attendees over the past years also.
If you are interested in taking this adventure please post here on this thread so we can get a count on how many tickets to purchase. The tickets are $9 for adults and this is well worth the price.
Here is a short synopsis of this year's melodrama:
B Mine Forever By John Burkhart
Lovely Melody Moonstruck, her good friend Priscilla Poorhouse and handsome hero Digger Malone all
own gold mines. At least they are supposed to be gold mines but so far all they have come up with is a
small amount of silver. And they need to strike it rich so Melody can marry Digger. Then why is the evil
villain known as Blackhead trying to obtain the mines by hook or crook (Mostly crook)? And can Blackhead
really trust his accomplice, wicked La Verne Laredo?
If you have never been to a melodrama it is a experience in itself. There's booing, cheering, popcorn tossing, money throwing and much, much more.
Following the melodrama we will be heading for another favorite of the CPRR attendees-- Valentino's Pizza Buffet for our evening meal.
We hope you all will sign up for this fun filled, exciting day of fine chocolates, fun entertainment and some great food.
