Installing Water Filtration 3720

Where we summer, the local town pulls their supply from Lake Champlain and treats it. A couple years ago the lake was very low and the water needed more chemical additive. The taste was lousy. I made up a 'taste' filter using a standard 10" housing. Then last year I doubled it up with another housing - the original taste unit plus an organic nasties remover. A very inexpensive solution for water taste and safety with a total dollar outlay of about 3 of the blue CAMCO in line filters. For filter media, for our summer site, they are fairly cheap. For travel - well let's say that they can get pretty costly if you have the need for extremely well purified water.

Clean drinking water is important to us and not an area in which I want to go with the lowest bidder. Filtering is but one aspect while purification is another. If you are lucky bad water will only make you sick.
