For anyone having trouble with their Global Connect. I just called ASA Electronics support and the Global Connect server(s) are down. They say they will notify anyone that calls and reports the problem when the service is available again.

Thank you for contacting ASA Electronics!

We are aware of this Global Connect Issue.

I do apologize for the inconvenience. Our Global Connect server had an unplanned outage on Friday, 1/24/25 around 6pm eastern time. Our applications team is currently working on this and getting the server back up as soon as possible. Everything on your end is ok, it is on our side that is having the issue and we are working to get it fixed and back up.

All of the iN Command features will not be effected and will still work on the display and on the iN Command App while in Bluetooth range like normal.

As soon as the server is back up and running, we will reach out and inform you. Again, I do apologize for the inconvenience.

Logins to Global Connect are now working again.

I don't know if it was related to the server coming back online, but we had to reboot the Display Commander yesterday when it was non-responsive. Powering it down (with the button on the top) and back on fixed the issue. No need to reset the basement control module.

I’m sorry, can you please clarify this for me?

Your RV control panel is dependent upon another company’s servers being up and running 24/7/365?

This was explained in Post #1

Sorry it still isn’t clear, or perhaps my question wasn’t phrased properly…I do not have the global connect system, but I am trying to learn more…

Why would their server outage impact anything on your RV, except perhaps if you happen to be performing a periodic check for, say, software updates? If normal operation of the RV requires a connection to their server, what happens when you are off the grid?

The way Global Connect version of In Command works for certain fucntions is your RV BCM is connected via WiFi to In Command Net server... The server is then your global connect via a cell phone so that you can control certain functions over the internet using cell phone located away from the RV

** When off grid you aren't using global connect and all functions are controlled via the display or blue tooth connected cell phone ( no cellular connection needed ) as you are using the blue tooth from your phone to link to the BCM

beginning of video gives a quick insight of this

Without the server as the go between you have NO connection to your RV in command BCM to control it when you are out of range of normal wifi and bluetooth

Global Connect is an optional feature of iN-Command, the control system found on Montana Legacy editions (and may other RVs). The features allows remote access to most functions and is quite convenient for monitoring/managing systems such as HVAC and lighting. Onboard, the touch screen and phone app via Bluetooth work with or without the Global Connect link. https://in-command.net/

Identify your InCommand here...
My 2018 model has the Pro-Plus version.
The Pro Plus model does not run the air conditioners, furnace or water heater.
