I'm sure some of you have traveled I-55 Through Memphis and delt with the hair-pin cloverleaf before heading across the bridge into Arkansas. Has anyone tried the route by going strait on to I-240/I-69 the cutting over on I-40?????
I travel I 40 straight thru Memphis and don't have any problems except for a lot of the construction in West Memphis which should be about done. Been a year since we been thr there but will be back thru there in a month...
In May we went West around the north loop following I-40 just before rush hour, and two weeks ago we went East around on the south loop following on I-55 then up to I-40 just after the morning rush. We stayed at Tom Sawyer in West Memphis. Both were good to drive with construction but no delays and traffic was flowing at the speed limits. The north side of the loop is newer and roads are better.
