Rosetta and I decided to have all hydraulic lines on our 2014 Montana Big Sky replaced because the protective covering on the lines was falling off fast. We also needed to have two compartment doors installed and painted. I called Affinity mid-April and asked if they could do the job if we took the rig to them on 24 April 2025 and picked up on 21 May 2025. The answer was yes. From our last stop enroute to Affinity, I noticed our slides began to creep. Rosetta said she noticed something oily on one of the level up pads before we got back on the road. We stopped at a rest stop to get the slides back in and I noticed we had hydraulic lines on both sides of the rig leaking. Affinity did a wonderful job. The hydraulic lines installed were not the like the original lines, but like ones used on forklifts. Heavy duty. As with all things Murphy played a part. After the lines were installed, the pump failed. So, we had that replaced as well. We picked the rig up 23 May. When we left Affinity, we went to Elkhart Campground to spend the night. Of course, Murphy was at it again. When we plugged into the campground pedestal, we had no power. After the pedestal was checked we plugged into the front power outlet (thanks to H. John Kohl), power was on. Indication bad transfer switch. We went inside the EMS surge guard now has an Error Code: E-10. I Turn the EMS off and thankfully no more problems getting home. I tried to get in touch with Progressive International to get a Transfer Switch and EMS, but they were closed from 24 May to 2 Jun. We are leaving on and extended trip 4 Jun. Amazon to the rescue with 2-day delivery. All problems for the moment resolved.
