GVWR and NCC for the 3400

On my queen bed there is no "crushing" of the mattress at the end of the bed when closed. While I cannot walk around the bed when closed as it is up against my dresser and tv cabinets, the matterss is still flat, even has a little bit of wiggle room down there. When closing the slides, I just push the button and go, nothing has to be moved or lifted up to allow for the mattress.

Re the question about how far the slides extend on the 3400RL... A couple of days ago we visited our dealer to tour a 3400 to get an idea where we're going to put everything, etc. I measured and wrote down how far each slide extends so we'll have that info for campsite clearance.

For those slides with the wheel fenders this includes these fenders. Measurements should be within 1/4 inch. All are in inches.

On the street (non-door) side:
22 - bedroom
26 - kitchen
38 - entertainment

On the curb (door) side:
40 - living room

The fender is 2 inches and is on the living room and entertainment slides.

I did not factor in the fenders..why did I not notice that... Factoring in the fenders your measurements would be correct.

Guess I'm just going to have to wait until I get our 3400 next spring to see how the space for the bed works out. We'll probably take one of our existing queen size mattresses out to the 3400 and stick it in there to see whether it gets crushed or not.

Jo-Anna and I are headed up tomorrow morning to Philadelphia for the Life on Wheels conference for three days of seminars on extended living in RVs. See you all back on line next week.

David, the brochure says the queen bed is 60x80. That is standard homestyle queen bed dimensions. When ours arrives we'll measure the mattress to make sure, before replacing it. We're leaving our good queen mattress in the tradein because it is only 76 inches and I want that extra four inches. I'll try to remember to post back about actual measured length. That won't be until end of this month.

If you are getting a new 3400 next spring then I would think it also would have the full queen. If an older one, then I'm not sure. Depends on when they went to the full queen.
