We’re on day eight of a trip and it just occurred to me that today we literally dragged our Montana to Montana.

We’ll be here at West Yellowstone for about a week before we start to work our way down to the Four Corners area.

It’s been a beautiful trip so far. We’ve camped with friends for decades, but this is the first time we’ve caravanned. It’s very different than “meet you there”.

The Montana is still heavenly and we adore it, but this rig sure doesn’t hold up to the road like our other fiver. We’re the type to focus on the positives, but this coach has been a real test. I’ll need to start another thread to cover some of the issues, but for now we’re loving our time and having a blast.

And as much as my wife and I are loving the trip (ditto for the couple with us), I think our dogs are happier than any of us. What a life and what a great time we’re having. My Gratitude needle has been stuck on 10 this whole time.

Looks great , nothing like Montana . Enjoy . We will be leaving this coming Sunday for our annual 7 week trip to Montana . Small RV park, less than 20 sites we stay at on the Madison river in SW Montana . This will be our 23rd year at that location . Many regulars that we have made friends with over the years . Plenty of BBQ's , fly fishing , and relaxing .

To add ,I know our dog likes it there ,especially if he can get into that river . :)

Don’t go to the rodeo in West Yellowstone. It isn’t a real rodeo.

To add about West Yellowstone in general . The crowds are terrible . I used to go there just to get some groceries, no need even for that now with the new grocery store in Island Park .

I am glad that I have been to Yellowstone park many times over the years , when it was civilized . No longer need to go in there ,and endure the stupid people ,and their behavior ,and the terrible summer traffic .

where do you stay on the Madison? We stayed in Ennis 2 years ago but it is bigger than 20 sites. We may go back that way next year and am wondering??? Thanks
