Unfortunately age has caught up with me so we have sold our Montana and with great regret give up camping. Thanks to all who have assisted me with several problems over the years. Vic

Keep checking in on these forums from time-to-time and please continue to chime in. Your experience and knowledge can still be shared with others in need. When life causes us to change directions, it doesn't necessarily mean everything is over. You may have the exact answer, knowledge and experience to assist someone else on an item they are struggling with and are currently at wits-end. Thank-you for all your contributions.

Vic, we are also checking out at the end of summer! Getting hard to fix little things even, anymore. I talked wife into one more summer to visit relatives in Wyoming and high school and college friends in Iowa and then home. We have been at it for 21 summers now. Been to Alaska twice and have visited every driveable National Park. Sad to hang it up! Oh well!

Tom, you are not alone. We were considering retirement after this summer and our four month trip. The Monty looks like it committed Seppuku and may have accelerated our decision(s).

Enjoy your retirement while you can. I was fortunate enough to be able to retire early before age really started creeping in. But other situations prevented us from using our 2007 3075RL Monte, bought new, enough to justify keeping it. So we sold after 14 years. And really miss it.

But they still let me hang around and contribute when I can. And still enjoy living vicariously thru other’s adventures. Some problems are unique to the older models. Some problems are ageless.
