A member with a 2024 295RL High Country reported their GE bottom freezer fridge stopped working after plugging into shore power at home, hearing a "pop" but finding no tripped breakers or obvious blown fuses. The fridge runs on DC power from the inverter, and initial troubleshooting included checking the breaker panel, fuses, and confirming the presence of a GFCI breaker rather than outlets.

Other RVers suggested cycling the inverter breaker, checking for a tripped GFCI (especially in... I have a 2024 295RL High Country and just returned from a month long trip to S. Padres Island. When I plugged the trailer into shore power at home I heard a pop from the trailer and upon inspection I found the refridgerator was off. I did not see a blown breaker. The refridge runs off DC power from the inverter. Owners manual suggest a fuse or circuit breaker is blown.
I looked at the breaker panel and no breakers off and see several fuses...largest 25 am but not sure if any of them are blown.

Suggestions to help me locate the source of the power failure would be appreciated.

Thanks

If your breaker box cover looks similar, you could try cycling the breaker labeled, inverter. Also, you probably have a gfci on your inverter so you might check that one too.

It could be one of those self resetting breakers and it's not resetting. The refrigerator might be on a GFCI outlet check the one in your bathroom and passthrough

I don’t have GFCI plug in outlets but rather a gfci 15amp breaker. Where are the self resetting breakers located

The self resetting breakers are usually by your batteries.

If you have a power issue the whole fridge would not work. I don't want to sound silly but the switches to turn on the fridge and freezer are seperate. Are you sure you activated both fridge and freezer located at the top of the fridge inside the door?

Your freezer probably has a thermostat inside it somewhere. It could be on the side or top or behind the wall. It might be small enough you could overlook it, like 3/16 by an inch. There will be a small wire to the circuit board. You can’t tell if it’s bad without knowing how much resistance shows without knowing how much resistance should be in it at a given temperature.

I just had this problem in our home refrigerator. The repair shop replaced everything and I mean everything before they found the problem. My HVAC friend told me what the problem was before the repairman started. I got a new refrigerator except for the case, thank you. Much appreciated.

The prob was the GFCI in the pass thru-it tripped and I didn’t know that outlet was GFCI. Thanks for all the reply’s. Learning the school of hard knocks. Bodet
