my driver's side front leveling leg is weeping a little.has anyone ever rebuilt a lippert hyd leg? We trailer says nothing listed to rebuild it and you have to replace it. Thx

I seem to recall the ChuckS stated he had a jack that had a small leak/drip for a long time and he never worried about it too much - maybe he will see this thread and confirm if I recall correctly.

I took my drivers side rear to a hydraulic shop to repair. They called and said the piston was too scarred to repair with seals. I ordered a new jack from etrailer.

What I would suggest is this to isolate where the leak is from …

… wipe down the LG as clean as you can
.. then watch for a hyd leak
.. if the leak is coming fr9m the bottom where the shiny piston goes up into the body of the cylinder then you have an internal wiper seal that’s bad
.. if the leak is a seep for the top of the lg cap there are three bolts that might be loose and can be “snug tightened” and evaluate again for fluid seep
.. if the seep is still there at the top cap then either the banjo bolt oring is leaking or the top cap oring is leaking
** both of those can be replaced for less than $5 and maybe a hour of your time if you have some mechanical skills and a few basic tools

You can find the two seals needed at a decent hardware store that stocks orings in the pull out parts bins or Napa may have them

Last two images show the bottoms wiper seal ( this will not fix a leak from the bottom ) and then the actual internal seal ( blue ) that would cause fluid to drip from the bottom of the LG cylinder

I had one on my Old Montana and it keep getting worse so took it to Local hydraulic shop and they rebuilt it. No problems after that.

Had one done a while back.
