Fresh Water Tank

I drained my freshwater tank and left the cap off; I hooked up to the city water inlet with my regulator and pressured up the system. I switched from normal flow to tank fill and immediately water came out of the drain line (which it should) and also out of the freshwater tank over fill line, how is this possible. Thanks in advance.

Was it just some water in the overflow line that was pushed out by air, or did it continue to flow out as you filled? Just wondering if there was some residual water in the overflow that was pushed out by air escaping the tank as the fill water entered.

I tried it twice and as long as I had it lined up to the fresh water fill it ran out the overflow

My guess is the fresh tank is actually full or the overflow is connected wrong. Does your tank sensor show the fresh tank full or empty? Fresh tank sensors usually work fairly well, unlike the gray and black tank sensors.

I rodded out the bottom drain on the tank and both times it was empty. Guess I’ll have to take off the bottom cover and investigate. Thanks for your input.

When you flip the valve from Normal to "Fill" and then back again, are you turning off the garden hose first at the shore water connection or leaving the garden hose hooked up under pressure? If you do, you might try turning off the garden hose shore water first before flipping the valve and see if that makes any difference. It's possible the valve is not responding as it should under pressure. Try it, see if that makes any difference.

It should be connected like this

It's all the way at the back, centered between the frame rails. This is a picture of mine with the coroplast and Reflectex removed.
