Today, I sanitized the water tank on our 2016 High Country 352 with bleach and would like to drain the fresh water tank without having to run all of the water into the grey water tank first. Neither the dealer nor the owners' manual was much help in locating the drain. I looked all over the underbelly for it without success. Can anyone tell me where to find it? Many thanks.

Your fresh water tank is near the rear of the fiver. Is there no small 1/2" hose hanging down with a cap on it in the general vicinity?

Thanks, dieselguy. I'll go look again with your information. I do know that the vent for the tank is at the very back, so the tank should be in that area as well.

Hey, dieselguy:

You were absolutely right. The drain was about 2' inboard of the tank vent at the rear of the unit. My mistake was to look mostly in the area around the plumbing compartment. BTW, my drain hose has a shutoff valve rather than a threaded cap. Thanks again. This forum is the greatest.

The shutoff valve is a new improvement after the rest of us have had to add them over the years. Keystone does look and listen to what mods we are doing and do incorporate some of that as the years go by.

Dick:

I thought that might be the case. Thanks for complaining. That valve does make it a little harder to get a face full of water.

So, my 2016 has just a cap at the end of a piece of white hose hanging through the underbelly at the back left corner. I don't see an actual valve shut off. Removal of that cap drains the fresh water tank with no valve. Sounds like I'm going to get wet. Most people added a shut off, how and where? Suggestions, pictures would help.
Thanks

I used a twist on garden hose valve. When I drain it I attach a garden hose and drain it away from the rig.

I have never gotten wet when draining. Get on knees and reach in and unscrew it. What is so hard?

Most likely, your cap is 1/2" pex, so a garden hose will not simply screw on. I actually put an elbow on my down pipe and ran it to the edge of the rig, then crimped on a valve and garden hose fitting so I can attach to that and run the drain where I want. Look for fittings that are labeled as GHT (for garden hose thread) vs pipe threading. Here's one example: Amazon.com
You'll likely want the male fitting so you can screw the hose on it.
