Freezer Ice

I guess one of didn’t make sure the freezer door was latched shut the last time we put stuff in the refrigerator.

Then our departure was delayed 3 weeks.

Wow pretty cool! I did the same thing once didn't harm anything but it was a mess to clean up hair dryer is the trick.

I left a half bag of ice in our freezer last summer when I put it in storage. We planned to leave again in a couple weeks and storage has power so no problem, right? Our trip was delayed, they lost power apparently for quite a while, ice melted, then when power was restored, it all froze in the bottom. Took a while to melt it and get it all out.
Lesson learned. Don't leave a bag of ice in the fridge even if you think you will have power available.

Every 3 months we have to get the old hair dryer out and do that too sometimes it takes a while

Hey BB, I take it that the refrigerator wasn't set to automatic so that he could use propane instead of the AC?

Hi

The refrigerator is always set to automatic so it will use propane. We never shut off a refrigerator it is run all the time.

What you see in the first picture is from the freezer door not being closed all the way. Look closely you will see extensive ice buildup it the door jamb below the latch. The door could not be closed so the latched held it shut. The only reason it didn’t come open on the road was because the ice had it jammed.

I always turn the propane off when in storage.

Hi

I keep ours at home. I have 2 50 amp RV outlets at my place one at the back of the house and one out in the back yard so I keep it hooked up and in the same configuration it is in when we are using it.

Here is a picture of the Montana at the back of the house you can see the power cord across the white concrete behind the trailer.

The picture on my signature is taken from my back porch.
