Our 2020 3121RL has a Samsung residential fridge that lately is creating a lot of frost in the freezer section. We use it 8-9 days at a time, FL locations most recently, it’s never full of frozen goods to block air flow, temp is set @ recommended -2F, freezer door gasket is clean and not damaged, just don’t understand why the sudden onset of frost buildups. Doesn’t seem to happen as much when in GA & TN. Anyone having same issue? Suggestions to resolve most welcome…THANKS!!

My first guess would be that something is going on with the automatic defrost system. Samsung may have a way to force a defrost cycle. I’d see if you can find details in manual on how that’s done.

I found the list of things to check below, and also a video on checking the defrost heater element.
Since you are seeing more ice build-up in FL - I would guess it has something to do with the freezer door weatherstriping. More humidity in Florida + leaky seals = more ice build-up. Press the EASY button - check and clean the weatherstriping first before moving to the other items. The video is interesting but you may not need to do this much work.

I had a similar issue, likely that you’re pulling in outside/room air. Have you done the dollar test around the seal? It’s likely the door is not sealed at the top when closed. I actually used washers to shim the attach fittings to door to get a good seal. Mine works perfectly now, not sure whether the door gets bent or the slides get out on tolerance but shimming will do the trick.
