Gonna take our brand new unit out next weekend. I've read many tips and advice from this forum. I just finished the install of the EMS. That was not fun! #6 wire would not play nice, it just needed to be "man-handled" but it showed a fault with my home extension cord, so ops check good. I thought the newer Montana's had a heat pump installed, but I can't figure out where the controls are. Hoping to get a TPMS for the truck and fifth wheel before we take it out. I've purchased my SS hardware to replace all the fender hardware. I plan to weigh it next weekend, so I'll know what I'm dealing with. All things considered, I think I'm ready to tow this thing around and start using it. Thanks again everyone for the great advice and tips.

Have a great time on your first outing! Good to hear you got an EMS you never know about the Ele at a CG. Your Heat pump runs off the main heater control there a some good U\tube videos on how it works if you can figure it out but if you scroll through it you will get to the heat pump.

Mike,

Good luck on your first trip. Take it slow and easy - look up for things you might hit as they are tall rigs. You heat pump control should be in the living room thermostat - toggle from off to cool to furnace to heat pump. I top off my tanks before most trips and then just have 1 tank turned on at a time so I don't use all the gas (others carry a spare and run both or use one of the gauges). Unless you are using your furnace a lot the gas with last for awhile.

Enjoy that new fiver. Re propane levels, I don’t worry about it. Unless you running the furnace frequently you won’t use much , particularly if running HWH and frig on electric, and of course you have two tanks.
