extra money what to buy?

we bought a newer vehicle and cancelled our insurance mechanical portion for the jeep, i get a refund so now monty needs a couple things. i will add the 2nd a/c to the front bedroom. but now i need to know what kind of tire monitoring system to get. had a blow out cheap marathons now want to get the tire monitor system suggestions and ideas welcomed.

TST here and never an issue. Great peace of mind. You have gotten rid of the China Bombs, right? If not, use the extra money to replace the tires.

TST 507's here, thanks to the advice of those on this forum. Peace of mind. Like you, I still have the Marathons, but right now the camper is under the cover for the winter and will not move again with these tires under it. New tires should be on your short list too, IMO.

My advice, stay away from Tire Tracker, Tire Minder, or another name it goes by, but all the same unit. It works, but not the greatest. Some times takes a while down the road before all the sensors wake up and give a recent update. After traveling for a while and you make a pit or fuel stop it may alarm telling you of a slow leak. That's all well and good but some times it takes quite a while before it will reset it's self. I should have checked with the learned folks here first.

I have the Pressure Pro and it works fine, its just so big and looks like old technology. You have to press the button to see each tire's pressure.

And its big and doesn't mount anywhere.

There is no check at a glance with this thing, its best the co-pilot keeps track of all the tires.

Again, it works fine, but I wouldn't buy it again.

I also have the pressure pro system. It has alerted me to a couple of low pressure situations. I do agree, however, that it appears to be old technology, but, it still works.

I must agree with those posters who say apply the money to new tires first. BTW, my TST system works great for me.

First get rid of the Marathon's. I went with the Bridgstone Duravis R250. I am pleased with the TST 507RV monitors I use.

X2 on the 507 sensors. Just completed a 1200+ run to Florida and they worked great. I constantly received my pressures and temps for all 4 tires. The monitors are worth every penny!
