Found the door assembly on etrailer for about $1400…+ ~$90 tax + guess $150 shipping…so maybe $1650 total.

If you get a dealer to do the installation…looks like 5 total 8 hours at $180/hr - so add $900 to $1500.

The interior face of mine is cracking but it works fine for now.

Our door has numerous hairline cracks but a few around the door handle started to become more pronounced. I purchased 4" wide "white" duct tape and covered the cracks. While visible, it blends well enough with the white door to prolong the inevitable of having to spend $2K for a new door.

entry door liner cracks

My 2018 Legacy entry door inner surface is riddled with horizontal splits. Has anyone else had this issue, if so how can iy be fixed?

Funny....I just addressed this very common problem on our SOB this past weekend. I used White Vinyl contact paper from Amazon. I removed the interior door window frame and lock-set, cleaned the door well with rubbing alcohol, applied the contact paper and trimmed with a wallpaper trim blade. I did it by myself, but it would be easier with 2 people. You can still kind of see the blemishes from some of the cracks under the paper, but all in all I think it came out pretty good. In the 2nd photo, under my hand about a foot is a blemish that shows through. Inexpensive fix for a common problem. Time will tell about how well it holds up long term.

Great idea! Like i said previously - my door has cracks but it works great. My screen door is attached 99% of the time and you cant see the cracks, so DW has not noticed yet (thank goodness) I do get grilled regularly on “When are you going to do something about the CHEAP peeling paper veneer on the doors????” Hmmmm…hopefully NEVER my dear! I mean - it bothers me…but not enough to spend money or effort to try to find a fix. Im still waiting for the brain-trust here to come up with a cheap easy fix to the peeling doors.

For the cracked FRP face on the door…has anyone actually had physical troubles or door failures related to the cracks? I don't recall reading any experiences here…maybe I’m wrong. It would seem to me that it is purely a cosmetic issue, and vinyl wall paper is a good suggestion for treatment.

As far as physical troubles or failures due to the cracks, when I talked to my RV guy about it he told me 1) It is a very common problem throughout the industry. 2) It seems to be happening more often now days. 3) It will not cause any functional or physical problems...the cracks are just an eye-sore.
