The rocker switch on the switch panel for the electric water heater is not lighting up anymore. The switch works as we are still getting hot water however the blue light in the switch does not glow when turned on. I keep forgetting to turn it off when not needed for several hours.

Has anyone ever replaced a lighted switch from the panel? Need to know how to repair. Thanks in advance

I’ve also got a switch that no longer lights. I haven’t worried too much about it. But I have installed a switch for additional accessories. They are easy to remove and replace. You have to unscrew the panel from the wall so you can release the switch from the back. Remove the wires from the old switch and install on the new. Easy Peasy.

You can order a new one on Amazon with various colors. Mine are red, looks like yours are blue. Make sure you check the switch before you order. Most have 6 prongs on them, some are only 4.

Ok thanks Jeff!

Just got done replacing a couple bad switches.
First pull the top connector and inset in the same position on an adjacent switch: if it lights up when “on” then you have a. Ad switch; if not bad wire.

There are lot of switches out there that appear to “right”, after buying and returning several this is the one that actually fits (okay, it’s 1mm taller but it can be forced or the opening shaved down a bit.
