This is a two-part question regarding EeZRV TPMS. I have a 2017 3160 Monty. The TPMS sensor on the right rear tire keeps losing it connection with the monitor in my cab; consequently, it starts beeping about 30 minutes into our trip which is very irritating. I have changed out the sensor with ones from the other tires with no luck, right rear still beeps, so it’s not the sensor. Q1. Does anyone know if there is a way to mute the monitor so as not to hear the beeping of the annoying sensor? I have removed it totally and that is even worse. It looks like I may have to get a booster. Q2 Where is the best place to position the booster? Any comments or recommendations is greatly appreciated. Thanks Chandy

Not all TPMS systems need/require a booster. I have a TireMinder TPMS that came with a booster which I mounted in the front storage bay of the 5er. If you're loosing signal to the most remote sensor, and a booster is available, then I would get it.

Seems a shame to have a TPMS and not be able to hear an alarm when it really matters so muting, to me, seems counter-productive.

IMHO - get the booster and mount it in the front of the 5er and don't try to mute the alarm.

same was happening to me. I bought the booster and no further issues. I mounted the booster in the front compartment on the back wall and hardwired it to the batteries since we are full time, otherwise you could wire a switch in line and turn it on and off if you are worried about battery drain.

You can delete a single sensor and the instructions are on line at their website. I had a sensor go bad on my truck and had to send it in. Still waiting on a replacement but that is a separate issue.

I have TST and the right rear would stop reading anything maybe once every 2 or 3 weeks. Sometimes it would come back on, and sometimes not. I also bought the repeater and keep it in the front compartment near the battery. That fixed the problem.

I have the EezRV and put the booster on the back wall of the battery compartment. I kept losing the RR tire and my spare on the rig. I have a battery disconnect on the top of the battery compartment, so I didn't bother wiring in a switch. The repeater is on whenever the battery is on. I bought the repeater on Amazon. The new one apparent comes with an inline switch now.

I used 3M tape and mine is right above the battery door. Ran the wire through the vent.

I have the TireMinder TPMS which came with a booster. I attached the booster to the cover plate of the electrical junction box on the pin box. It's easy to drill 4 holes for the mounting screws. One more hole fitted with a rubber grommet gives a path for the 12 volt wire into the junction box where it can be hard wired to the 12 volt line and ground. Works perfectly. On a rare occasion I find that if my pigtail gable is cold and stiff, it can come into contact with the external antennae on the booster. It's easy to prevent if you are aware of the potential for this problem.

I mounted the repeater in the right propane compartment and wired it to the marker lights. My rear camera uses the marker for power and I always tow with my lights on.

I had intermittent issues with mine for years and finally added the repeater in the basement area. I used the 12V connector and plugged it in to the receptacle there. I plug it in before traveling and unplug when we arrive at our destination. No further problems.
