Did your Sailun tires come with this "feature"?

OK, after I got home to finish airing up my new Sailuns, I noticed these prominent white "bar code" stickers on the tires!!
Anyone else have them on their Sailuns?

WHY they are there, I have NO idea...never seen this particular sticker on the sidewall of any tires before.

These stickers DO NOT seem to be of the removeable type! In other words it looks like they are intended to stay on the tire (for whatever reason)

They are on all 4 tires and the installer at America's Tire apparently felt they looked really cool and put them on the outside of the tire so everyone else could admire them as well! :nonono:

Yes, they are on only on one side of the tire!
Grrrr.... NOW, I have to decide if it's worth going back in and making them flip the tires on the wheels or if I can just figure out a way to make them way less noticeable!

Would have been nice to at least have been asked..."Hey, do you want/care to have the lovely white bar code sticker proudly displayed on all 4 tires"?
Uh, that would be a NO!

Kinda like wearing your new pants with the "XL" sticker on the back pocket!

Yes, mine had those. There long gone now

What did you do to remove them? I'm concerned I will leave an ugly scar if I try to just peel them off. They are really well attached?

Sure seems like someone at the factory MIGHT have realized that the end user wouldn't necessarily want these things on the tires.

Of course, the installer could just as easily have mounted them on the inside as well...

I don’t do anything, they eventually came off after washing and tire dressing applied. They started coming loose and would remove as that happened.

That's good news! The adhesive they used seems pretty strong, so I'm glad to hear it will eventually "let go" and no more white stickers!

Use a black sharpie (black pen).

Actually started to try the Sharpie idea and realized it was way too shiny and would look worse IMO than the white sticker... Quickly wiped off what I started with the Sharpie!

Yes. At least your installer was consistent; I had some in, some out. They either fell off or I pulled them off; can't remember.

First world problem?

Yes sir, I’m fortunate enough to live in a first world country (so far at least), so that’s not terribly surprising is it?
You may have noticed that most of the issues/problems on this forum would fall into that category!
You know, like worrying about having sufficient A/C when you have no power...

But thanks for sharing your observation!
