We always travel with the shades all the way up. Or lower the shades
to reduce the heat load while towing ?
Thanks,
Les

Ours are always down when towing, in storage, and all other times the rig is not in use.
Bingo

Always down while traveling and up on shady side in day time while inhabited. We have read many posts on the sun ruining especially the wood dining table so we take extra care to keep it closed except while dining.

We were told to always travel with them down by the dealer and it just makes sense...

Same for us. I don't want the sun fading out my furniture or carpet either.
Ido the same in the s&b, only reverse when cold to let heat in. Just my preference.

We live in Washington State and haven't seen the need to travel with blinds shut until we travel to the hot states in 6yrs. Its been a great summer but----is there any other reason I should close the blinds except for extreme heat states??

I'll go against the grain here.... dealer recommended up enough to prevent chafing from the chairs when traveling. This is what I do. Down when in storage or camping in sun. Seems to make sense to me.
