Campground Air Cond Issue today???

I've gotto believe if this campground is overloaded at 6pm at 100 degrees is a tough time to try. Unfort I here my neighbors air on. Looks like she's headed to shop. Luckily on a month old.

When I leave tomorrow I'm gonna try one of the other campsite just make sure it wasn't my site I was told they have issues with the site. Wishful thinking I'm sure

Do you own a 30 Amp Surge Protector? If not might want to add it to your list. Especially since you stated they have electrical problems in that park?

That's good advise. Thank you and thanks to all who helped me today. I learned a lot even though its still hotter than &$&$$&!!!!!!

If you can afford it get an EMS system instead of a surge protector. The EMS will tell you what's happening at the pedestal so you'll know if that is the problem. Just an aside, your AC unit shouldn't be coming on when you plug in. There should be a delay of about 2.5 minutes before it starts up after any power interruption.

There was definitely a delay and your 2.5 seconds was about how long it lasted. It was so hot I wanted to get AC going immediately

Phrase on a Billboard near where I live. "Your wife is HOT! Get the air conditioner fixed." We laugh every time we go by it.

I would also look at the pedestal as a likely source of the problem. My Progressive unit provides amp/volt/grd status and will not kick in unless safe parameters. We have on occasion had to move because of pedestal issues.

How do you reset the thermostat

I'm not sure which thermostat you have.

Some have a visible wire plugged into them, that looks like a telephone plug. Unplug that, wait a few seconds, plug it back in.

Ours doesn't have the visible wire. But that wire is on the back side, not visible without removing the thermostat. Just remove it, unplug it, wait, remount it. If I recall, to remove it, push it up (little pop with the heel of your hand) and pull it out and unplug it.

The end result from the hassle of taking her to deal was a "Loose wire" 10 minute fix to a multi-day hassle but at least she's fixed for now.

Sorry for your problems Jaybird but where was the loose wire? We had a similar problem with our Class C a few years ago and there was a loose wire to the breaker. The dealer told us it happens as a result of the vibration/shaking when traveling.

We had a problem last year with our part of rig not working. We checked everything. We found that our(plug) cord connection to the rv had one of the wires come lose.
