Hello Group,

I have a 2014 3150RL. Question..What is the material in the bulkhead between the underneath storage area and the compartment accessed from the front under the front overhang.

Mine is covered with a black fuzzy material in the understorage area and a black plastic material in the generator area.

I guess I could drill a hole in it and see what I get. Wanting to put up a couple of shelves on the bulkhead for those small things.

If anyone has suggestions on how to better utilize the large hole for storage?

Thanks Jim

The bulkhead wall itself is wood covered with fuzzy/smooth plastic. I have drilled holes through it and screwed supports to it. I use the large hole to store tall and/or infrequently used items.

We have a 2013 3100RL and our bulkhead was covered in a fuzzy material but behind it is a piece of plywood(I know it is wood of some sort). We drilled through it, put brackets, and we hang on our ladder and other various items on it. I also use the fuzzy stuff like velcro. So if you would like to hang light weight stuff up there just put a small piece of the hook side of velcro on it and it will attach to the wall. I use that for a small flag that we have, and to hang the lug wrench from. I put two velcro straps on the lug wrench and I hung it from the back wall.

If you want some photos I could probably dig them up somewhere. I think I put them in a basement modification area. I will look and see if I can find the link to the topic.

It's just stranboard.. think that's what it's called. Chips of wood glued together. Not thick.. maybe 3/8" in my rig.. Doesn't hold screws very well as noted by the vent into the basement which is just kinda hanging on.. Many roof underlayments in stick homes have that.
