We’ve been at home-base for the last 2-1/2 years. Parked the Montana in an inclosed 60’ storage and haven’t moved it. Was need some work and we had plans to spend two weeks in Navarre Beach this past April, so in preparation I decided to replace all the brakes and drums as it did need it. Well…. Once it was completed and manually adjusted the brakes my son and I hooked up…squeezed the brake controller and nothing…. Put it drive and pulled it around the storage yard, back up countless times and nothing. Ended up having to replace the plug and cord. Anyways finally got it all working two days before we had to leave.
Ok now for the next chapter, went to hook up and once the hitch was lock I push the retract jacks… and they started to retract and heard the jack pump making a not so nice sound and the jack stop retracting. All six jack were off the grand so the weight was on the truck.
Well I was able to put two 20 Ton hydraulic jacks under the two front jack, lifted the 5th enough to release the hitch, blocked the tires and pulled out with out any incidents.
Need less to say we had to cancel two places.
Ordered a new pump assembly and installed, flushed the jacks and lines, replaced leaky lines.
Cross our finger no other issues arise, we’re headed to Serverville TN for10 day on the 3rd of July.
