Hi everyone! New to the forum but been a full-timer in Oklahoma for going on 7 years. The issue I'm having is with my black water tank. Unfortunately, it cracked last winter during some extremely cold weather. My husband was able to repair it and it's been fine until this past hard freeze and it cracked in the same spot. So, obviously, I need to replace it. The problem I'm having is finding the right one. I have a 2001 and on the sticker on the cabinet door in the kitchen it says it's a model number 3280 RL. I bought it from an individual and they no longer had the owner's manual. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you for any help!

The owners manual, even if you had it, wouldn't been of much help. There is a number written on the end (usually) of the tank, which is the info you need to find a replacement (if one still exists).

You need to drop the coroplast to find the code on the tank.

Don't remember if my experience was with current rig or a 2006 model. The black tank started leaking and I wasn't about to try to fix it. Dealer had it and told me they don't have an exact replacement but they installed a slightly smaller tank. I haven't noticed any difference in the tank capacity, so it worked out for me.

Let me suggest a fix. I’m a country boy and I have a sprayer that I haul around in my tractor bucket. When I got it at a very reduced price it had a foot long splint in the plastic tank. I repaired it with silicone. I put a 1/4 thick patch on it. It’s has fell out of the bucket many times without leaking since. If I had your camper I would get a piece of 1/4 inch thick plastic put a thick layer of silicone on it and stick it on the tank. I can’t guarantee your tank won’t ever leak again but I won’t leak here again. Amazon has 1/4 inch HDPE sheets about any size you might need.

I have a 2002 3280RL. I've replaced both black and Grey tanks. The Grey is model 295, and I believe the black is model 296. They are exactly the same except they are reversed. I got the grey tank from Icon. They were no longer available from them so I got black tank from Trekwood.

Pull the bottom. Empty basement and pull the carpet out. Use a circular saw set to 1". Cut the basement floor in the middle going east to west. Remove screws. Extend top pipe openings to end. Remove back basement floor. Sister 2x4 onto Cut end to re-secure floor.

As Carl mentioned above: You need to drop the coroplast to get the model number of the tank in question. I got my new tank from:

Here is a picture of what my label looked like on the old tank.
