Bedroom Slide Leaking Water

For anybody thinking about bying a new rig.
I told my dealer that befor I would take possession,I would take the time to check out every THING on it witch ment that I would also take a hose to the slides.Find your leaks befor leaving the dealer and have them fixed.

I had the carpet getting soaked in the corner by the closet. I had some heavy black plastic, pulled the slide in a ways, poked the plastic between the carpet and slide (covering the exposed carpet that you can feel from outside)--- put the slide back out - no leaks or soaked carpet.

We had the same leaks on are 2006, After several tries they found the leaks at the outside drain holes in the windows. When they insluted the windows the workers accidently pluged the holes with cocking. The water has nowhere to go but inside.

As far as I know I still haven’t had any more leaking after the fix which I posted on page 2.

This is where the individual postings need to have a number. For an example of what I’m talking about you can visit www.airforums.com and each posting is given a number at the time it’s posted. I just can’t imagine that this would be a complicated fix.
P.S. I hope that this forum stays clean from ads and not become what this other forum has become.

We had water in our slide area after a rain storm--the tape on the slide out roof along the edge was "loose". We put new Dicor roof silicone stuff on it along with the Eternabond tape--no problems since then. It seems that the water ran down the wall and that was the reason the carpet was wet. Check the roof out, as that may be ther sorce of the water.
I had same problem, the water came in from the bottom of the slide out not the sides, look @ the underside of your slide out, their
is a strip of metal, it's the old strip where a vinyl run would be placed, this fills w/water and seeps onto your floor, I filled this w/
a sealeant and it has not leaked since.

Our problem was the slide had moved to far one way so the slide seal on one side wasn't doing it's job. The side seal should have an equal angle against the side of the slide.
