Bedoom TV Arm Adapter

I just bought a 2014 Mountaineer with a small Jensen TV mounted on the wall in the bedroom. For some strange reason they didn't mount a swivel so the wifey can turn the TV towards the bathroom. (We men know how long they spend in the make-up room). Does anyone have a swivel suggestion. The Jensen has a "V" adapter mounted on it for removal so I can hook it up outside if needed

We have the same arrangement in our 2010, it has a swivel on it. The tv bracket was made to fit the v shape bracket in the basement, but if I remember right, they did away with the basement hookup. So, you may not have the swivel feature on your mounting bracket.
We can use ours in the basement and swivel it out to be seen under the awning.

If I remember right, on our 3800RE there is a nylon strap on the bottom side of the bracket you pull down to unlatch the solid connection from the wall while traveling, then the tv will swivel on the bracket.

1) Just buy a swivel made for the size/weight of your TV.

2) Remove the existing "V" mount from the back of the TV as well as the wall.

3) Attach the new mount to the back of the TV and unto the wall.

4) Presto! Done. No big deal.

I've never installed anything on the walls of my Fiver with any substantial weight. What type of screws do I use to hold thee weight of the bracket and tv???

Our '10 has a swivel mount on the bedroom tv as well. When released, it comes out and can be turned right or left a fair amount. Don't know why yours doesn't have this, but you should be able to find a replacement that does. If you need to mount the replacement differently than the original, use the same hardware or just some hollow door anchors. I've mounted several things in ours with them and they work well.

Mine swivels and pulls out a good amount as well as was said before by pulling the strap down HARD!!! and that releases it ,I'm a big dude but man I had to pull hard when I first did it then I put a little 3 in one oil on the release hinges and it releases easier now but like Rainer said plenty of choices of brackets to fit your needs I bought my a swivel for my old Montana at www.tweetys.com

I changed my TV in the Bedroom to a larger TV and replaced the mount with "Travel Mount" it pulls out and swivels. It also comes with dual mount so you can install a second mount somewhere. It was easy to install and came with the hardware needed. It is really solid. I did install a strap to further anchor the TV while traveling (just my peace of mind). I purchased mine at my local RV dealership parts dept, but you can get it at Amazon.

I have the strap on my jenson tv bracket in the bedroom on my 3800RE as well and I can see that it has a swivel mount...but I can't seem to be able to unlatch it when I pull down on the strap. At first I didn't pull hard enough, then with a flash light shining behind it I could see the release mechanism. Pulling harder did move the strap down and the release does move down a bit...BUT underneath the part of it that comes down there is a piece of metal that is angled outwards and keeps the release from fully coming away from the bolt that is part of the latch system. Do I need to bend this piece of metal inward so things work like I think they should? The piece of metal is part of the spring steel latching mechanism. Am I supposed to try pushing that inward while I pull on the strap and then use my head to move the tv swivel or does it take three hands? John

I have a 2012 343rl with the same Jensen TV and mounting system. The basement of my unit has a TV bracket that can lay flat against the wall or be pulled out and the V mount for the TV will turn left and right. Using this bracket would necessitate mounting it to the left of the existing wall bracket approx. 10". I have seen this bracket on a number of Keystone units.

There is not much of a lock on the mount. On mine when pulling down on the strap just pull about 1/2 inch and then pull out on the tv itself. The lock is a spring metal clamp that hocks over a bolt in the mount when closed. Don't pull down on the strap real hard you could bend the lock clamp.

It didn't matter how much pull I put into my strap since it could never release enough to move the clamp downwards and allow the bolt to be clear of the clamp assembly. However when I went to push the "metal finger" that is under the clamp assembly...it snapped off and now the release works great. Still locks the jensen in place when it is pushed back into the clamp. Now I can move it out to the mount in the outside passthrough if the mood ever strikes me...but so far it hasn't. John
