Of course the fake woodgrain is peeling off our bathroom door in our 3582RL. Getting it ready to sell soon and need to replace this door and don't know where to find anything to fit that's not painted white. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Well…I went to Trekwood.com to search. I was surprised to see the YEARS option only go back to 2018…and my “door” search turned up nothing. So, I changed the years to 2023 just to test it and several “passage doors” of various sizes come up. If you are unfamiliar with Trekwood, they have a reputation for having high freight charges. Amazon has spoiled us all for delivery/freight, so go into your search expecting freight to be much more than you guess. Since they do not have backstock for your 2014 model, you will need to figure out how to paint the plastic veneer paper to match as best as you can.

I have the peeling paper veneer on all 3 interior doors in my rig. I just keep glueing the edges back down in a loosing battle. I have never taken my measurements to Home Depot to see if they have anything that might be cut to fit my needs, but I doubt they have anything appropriate thickness, and/or pre-cored for RV hardware. There is a “mobile home parts” store in Waco TX (about 1 hour north of me). I have been there and was impressed with all the stuff they have that might also work in an RV. A store like that might have “white/primed” doors that would come closer to fitting our units than anything at Home Depot.

If you can find a door that fits or would fit with limited trimming, painting the door might be an option. For trim to match the general color of our whitish wall paper or the gray color of our cabinets, we have taken a sample to the paint store to be color matched. They have the electronic matcher and they take several samples and we selected one that gave a blended color.

Not saying it would be easy but this stuff from Amazon might be an option depending on the texture, trim, and curves of your current door or new door. (You could use the above idea to paint the door edges so only the front and back panel would be covered. Looks like it comes in different colors and sizes.

I would sell your 2014 unit “as is” and explain the situation to the new buyers/owners…the paper veneer peels, and is well documented on this forum. I doubt you will get your money back in the rig sale for the time and effort/cash you spend on a new door. Let the new owners deal with it…they may have plans to paint the whole interior white and put shiplap on the walls! Or they may decide to live with it (like I do).

Actually sounds like the best idea yet. Planned on selling this fall or next spring anyway. Thankyou for the input. Much appreciated.
