Backup Camera Options for Traffic and Rear Bike Rack

Looking for any recommendations on the latest/best backup camera for my 2018 2130RL. I want to use it for watching traffic, parking,l AND keeping on eye on the e-bikes on the rear bike rack.

Any thoughts appreciated!

I ditched my OEM Furrion system in 2021 for a VisionWorks system. The trouble I had was that the Furrion had a difficult time with the distance from the rear cap to the dash of my truck...it was always freezing up or going black...terrible and frustrating. The VisionWorks had same issues at first. They sent me multiple antennas to try (free, even though it was well out of warranty - so their customer service was great). What finally worked was a long "coax" that let me install the camera antenna on the front cap. I anchored the coax across the roof with small pieces of eternabond tape. The camera ALWAYS connects now...sony camera is crystal clear. My screen is a 6" screen, which is good because there is not a lot of room on a Chevy dash. A big screen would not work for me. I think I paid $370 for the system on a black Friday deal in 2021...which is a LONG time ago in technology terms. Whatever system you pick - make sure the signal will work for these long fifth wheels! I'm sure others will chime in on more "current tech" recommendations.

My OEM Furrion (camera and monitor) looked like watching TV in the early 60s (when it worked)…poor resolution…very poor connectivity. My rig was manufactured Nov 2017. Evidently, the location of the camera on the rear cap of a Legacy model makes the signal more difficult to connect to the monitor on the dash…screen shots below…a Legacy rear cap (not a photo of my rig) and a flat panel rear cap. The OEM Furrion connection would go in and out constantly, constant screen freeze, screen would go black when an 18 wheeler passed. Again, this was 2017 tech…I assume 2026 tech will be much better. Read reviews, watch videos and get recommendations here before you pull the trigger on a new system. There are lots of threads in this forum if you search.

I have the haloview and couldn’t be happier. No connection problems rig’s 38’ and figure another 8 from pin to the dash. Very high color resolution.

I have a "Yakery" I got on Amazon. It is wireless and I do not have a signal issue and the picture is great. Problem is the UI stinks. Very cumbersome menu system, like something from 20 years ago. Only use it when I am double towing (not often) to keep an eye on the second trailer.
