A member is selling a nearly new B&W Companion Slider hitch for the Ford puck system after using it once with a 2026 F350, saying the slider feature is more than needed. The asking price is $1,480, with reasonable offers considered, and the member is in Colorado and willing to meet a buyer if not too far away.

Other members questioned why not simply use it without sliding and asked whether the truck is a short bed; the seller confirmed it is an F350 Crew Cab short bed but prefers a lighter...

Hello all!
I bought a new B&W Companion Slider hitch that works with the Ford puck system. I bought it for a new 2026 F350. However, after just one use for a trip that was only 2 hours from my house, I’ve decided that the slider is more than I need. Unfortunately I’m past the 1 month return policy for B&W, so I’m selling the hitch and plan to get a non-slider for the truck. You can see from the receipt posted here that I paid $1,886.11 (includes taxes and fees). I would like to sell it for $1,480 to cover the cost of the non-slider hitch, but will consider any reasonable offer.
I plan to put this on Facebook Marketplace, but thought I’d offer it to this community first. I live in Colorado and am willing to meet a buyer if it’s not too far away. I’m hoping this can work out as a win-win for someone who is looking for a new hitch (and has the Ford 5th wheel package).
Thank you,
Michael

Why wouldn't you just use the hitch but not the sliding feature? Sure, it's a little larger but the cost of the loss on selling your slider and buying a new non-slider will not be trivial.

Hello WhatExit!
I am willing to loose a few $$ to end up with a lighter and more manageable hitch. If that helps out another RVer, that is fine by me. After one use, I determined that I likely won’t use the slider feature, so the extra weight is not worth it to me.

I had the B&W Patriot slider with my short bed, and was glad I did. There have been a few campsites that required a pretty tight jack knife. I’ve seen a lot of short bed trucks with broke out back windows. I would be hesitant to get rid of a slider if I still had a short bed, but that’s just my 2 cents…
I upgraded my truck to a Ram 3500 long bed with puck system, so no need for the slider. I was able to trade it in on the new puck B&W.
