Axle Spacers

I am considering raising the trailer an inch or two with axle spacers for leveling and rear end ground clearance. Any thoughts out there about doing this?

The only thing you may want to watch is your overall height. You don't want to have the unit taller the 13'9". As long as you are under that threshold, you should be okay.

I would feel more comfortable under 13'6".

You rv should be at 13'5'' from the factory. You will not change the height of the rv by raising the rv at the axles. Mor-Ryde raised my rv 3'' at the wheels and my rv was 13'5'' before and after being raised to run level. If you raised the rv in the front at the hitch then you would actually raise the unit because the 13'5'' height is at the front a/c which is the highest point on just about anyone's rv. Raising the rv at the axle 2 or 3'' hopefully will suffice for leveling your rv.

Don't know how much you plan to raise your unit but be careful with the spacers. Adding any distance between the axle tube and the spring base will increase the torque specs between those two points when braking. When the brakes are applied it introduces a twist on the axle tube. If the tube is moved away from the springs then the twist increases. Too much twist will brake springs. Not saying it can't be done, just be careful not to add too much lift.
