Another Tire Question(s) - long post

Just curious, have you all put your Montana on the scales? As full timers with all of our sh*t in the RV, I make it a point to weigh the combined rig every year or after any significant change. It is a basic CAT scale weighing, but at least I know where I am at...20,000 lbs for my 2013 3625RE. That is less than 1000 lbs shy of 16K on the Montana axles (which is why I upgraded to the 8K MorRyde axle option). With the MorRyde I/S, I am very happy that I no longer need to change leaf springs on the side of the highway, and I now can use the Goodyear G114s, which have a higher pressure (120 psi) and are built solidly.

MorRyde recommended either the Goodyear G114s or the Sailun LT215/75R17.5 LRH 16-Ply tires. I opted for GY because at the time the Sailun's were experiencing some quality issues.

Am I the only one that is up to the 20K range on their Montana??

I bought Sailuns from Simple tire. When they arrived I didn’t have time to get them mounted for a couple weeks. The next week I got a recall notice. My tires weren’t recalled but they were in between two serial number that were. Simple tire sent me a pickup number and I sent the tires back. Before I even got them to FedEx, my new tires arrived. Great service from Simple.
My Sailuns are wonderful. Have about 20 k on them already in anlmost two years and pulling them around now. My Sailuns are from Viet Nam. No problem for me!

X2 on the Hercules - I have had them for 2 years on a 2021 MHC 385BR. Rock solid performance. Traveled about 18,000 miles - they still look brand new.

Tires

I weighed my 2016 Montana 3791, with all tanks full 1/4 tank of diesel. 2005 Ram 2500, total weight was over 24,000!

Wow, do you get what you pay for?
I'ld be cautious as a failed Tire is probably the most likely "ruin your day" (or even the RV itself) possible occurrences.
No one has mentioned how much the Tires weigh...The Michelin XPS Ribs weigh 56 lbs - how much rubber (weight) is in less expensive tires? A LOT less as I recall.
After over 60K miles of towing my Fiver, I'll go for the heaviest, sturdiest Tire even if it is over $300

Hankook Vantra Trailer TH31 ST235/80R16 is now offered by Hankook and is the same size as your OEM which means no sacrificing ½" of clearance from your floor above. They are load range G (same load as the old 14 ply terminology) and from a South Korean company, which in my experience, is always more trustworthy than any Chinese company. These tires on my 2006 3500RL have provided sounder sleep time each night before the next day's travel and although this tire size is new in the U.S. market, this company has a solid reputation worldwide.
