Requirements
Must submit a campground host application (scan QR code)
Must have your own camper
Must be able to commit to 24 volunteer hours per week
Bring a friendly attitude and smiling face
Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:
greeting and assisting campers upon arrival
Light maintenance tasks
Cleaning and maintaining campsites for incoming guests

Having done camp hosting for 5 years now, I cannot encourage everyone enough to give it try at least once if you never done it before. The rewards for volunteering your time, effort, and energy far exceed the simple financial savings of having a campsite for a month. Helping and assisting other campers, answering questions, and contributing to the on-going life of the park, state park, or campground is very rewarding and when leaving at the end of your tour, you leave with a part of yourself there. It's a self-satisfying assignment, it creates a sense of belonging, and the friendships developed there run deep. You will (most likely) want to return again in the future as the feeling of self-achievement and personal involvement just simply cannot be understood until it's been experienced yourself.
Good people who volunteer are needed. Without these good people, many parks could not exist. Your contribution is needed. Consider Camp Hosting!
